The nearest island

I went to Ikeijima Island and Miyagi Island with my husband. It is small island and connected with long bridge. We can drive around the island about 30 minutes. There is a resort hotel end of the island and it is not much popular than west side hotels, but there are many spots we can see beautiful scenery in the island. It was wonderful. There are many sugar cane and tabacco field, no shopping mall like a jusco and a san-a. If you would like, take a drive aroud the island.

Wedding

Hi, Everyone how are you doing? It’s very hot outside, please be careful not to get a heat injury. Last sunday, I attended a wedding of my friend. It was held at the Rizzan-Sea Park Hotel in Onna village. It was very wonderful day and a bride was very beautiful. I was so touched her beautiful wedding appearance. Her husband is Taiwannese and his family was comming here all the way from Taiwan. I was supposed to attend the wedding as a guest but, unexpectedly I was asked to do MC from my friend two hours before the ceremony. My friend asked the lady to do MC who can speak both Japanese and Chinese but, she said she didn’t have a confidence to read Japanese that day, so I recieved the offer to success her wedding. It was first experience in my life. I was very nurvous and worried that if I could do well. There was a scenario and hotel staff gave me a sign when I need to speak so I could do somehow. They are going to have another wedding at Taiwan one week later. The wedding style was totally diffarennt between Japan and Taiwan, she showed me an wedding alubam that was taken at the Taiwan was very interesting to me. They looked like a movie star!! It took about twelve hours to take a picture for wedding album. They went to some place and changed clothes many times. Bridegroom’s sister said this is a tradditional wedding album in Taiwan. If I have a chance I would like to show you one of the picture.

Check out this really really nice website from BBC It’s BBC News Service, but written especially for English language learners. You can read all of the latest news, listen to it at the same time, and read the special vocabulary section. If you look on the menu on the left, you can see a list of things you can practice. There’s even a little soap opera called “Flatmates”. (That’s “roommates” in American English)

BBC is a British Broadcasting service, so you might see that the English is a little bit different from American English – but not much!

Hi guys. I just wanted to tell you about another really good blog that a friend of mine made (and which I sometimes post on ), called www.okimama.wordpress.com It’s for people living in, or about to move to Okinawa (it’s geared toward Americans, but Japanese visit it as well) It tells people about different places that are interesting to visit in Okinawa and also answers questions people have about living here.

If you want to continue practicing your reading and writing skills, I think reading the posts and by and adding your own comments could be really helpful. I’m sure that the American readers would be very happy to hear your Japanese point of view!

I can’t imagine how scarely experience that she had. I really feel sorry for her. And I understood she was afraid to meet people. But time is always our friend. When she started work in the garden, she marked first step. I think that was very difficult thing to do for her. But she broke out the fear, she found some hope. I’m really happy and hoping everything going well for her. The world is no so good, but not so bad.

What do you think about Virgil’s father?

I think Virgil’s father is a simple and reckless. He should think carefully before he does something. Also his action is hit or miss, and it makes his son trouble.He had promissed Virgil to buy a bike , and Virgil was looking forward to buy it.
